When we are at the mosque sometimes after praying Fardh prayer you notice people around you moving to different parts of the Masjid in order to pray their Sunnah.
and may be you’ve been wondering why?

Well the answer is, these people are implementing a forgotten Sunnah mashaAllaah.
‘Umar ibn ‘Ata bin Abi Al-Khuwar narrated that Nafi bin Jubair sent him to As-Sa’ib bin Yazid, the maternal nephew of Namir, asking him regarding something Mu’awiyah had seen him do in the prayer. He said: “ I prayed Jum’uah with Mu’awiyah in his enclosure and when he finished, I stood up in my place and prayed. When he went inside he sent for me and said” Do not repeat what you have just done. If you pray Jum’uah don’t join it with another prayer until you speak or exit the masjid. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to separate between prayers. One prayer mustn’t be joined with another until you speak or exit.Collected by Muslim (883)

Entering the House:

Dua upon entering the house

Allah(Swt) says in the Glorious Quran:

But when you enter the houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allah (i.e. say: As-Salamu Alaikum – peace be on you) blessed and good. Thus Allah makes clear the Ayat (these Verses or your religious symbols and signs, etc.) to you that you may understand.

[Quran-24:61]

Allah(Swt) also says:

“When you are greeted with a greeting, greet in return with what is better than it, or (at least) return it equally. Certainly, Allâh is Ever a Careful Account Taker of all things.”[Quran-4:86]

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said:

When a man goes into his house, he should say: “O Allah! I ask Thee for good both when entering and when going out; in the name of Allah we have entered, and in the name of Allah we have gone out, and in Allah or Lord do we trust.” He should then greet his family. [Dawud :: Book 41 : Hadith 5077]
