“O Allah, distance me from my sins just as You have distanced The East from The West, O Allah, purify me of my sins as a white robe is purified of filth, O Allah, cleanse me of my sins with snow, water, and ice.”

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:
Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him ) said,
“Whenever you hear the Adhan, say what the Mu’adh-dhin is saying”
Sahih Bukhari 611 ‘Umar b. al-Khattab reported:
The Messenger of Allah (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
When the Mu’adhdhin says: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and one of you should make this response: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; (and when the Mu’adhdhin) says: I testify that there is no god but Allah, one should respond: I testify that there is no god but Allah, and when he says: I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, one should make a response: I testify that Muhammad is Allah’s Messenger. When he (the Mu’adhdhin) says: Come to prayer, one should make a response: There is no might and no power except with Allah. When he (the Mu’adhdhin) says: Come to salvation, one should respond: There is no might and no power except with Allah, and when he (the Mu’adhdhin) says: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, then make a response: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. When he (the Mu’adhdhin) says: There is no god but Allah, and he who makes a re- sponse from the heart: There is no god but Allah, he will enter Paradise.
Sahih Muslim 385.
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) said,
“If anyone of you, when having sexual relation with his wife, say:
In the name of Allah. O Allah! Protect us from Satan and prevent Satan from approaching our offspring you are going to give us,’ and if he begets a child (as a result of that relation) Satan will not harm it.”
Bukhari 3271.

I met ‘Uqbah b. Muslim and said to him: it has been reported to me that someone has narrated to you from the prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that when he entered the mosque, he would say:
I seek refuge in Allah, the Magnificent, and in His noble face, and in his eternal domain, from the accursed Devil.
He asked : is it so much only? I said: Yes. He said: when anyone says so. The devil says: he is protected from me all the day long.

2. Abu Usaid reported that the Messenger of Allah (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
When any one of you enters the mosque, he should say:
” O Allah! open for me the doors of Thy mercy” ;
and when he steps out he should say:
‘O Allah! I beg of Thee Thy Grace.”
(Imam Muslim said: I heard Yahya saying: I transcribed this hadith from the compilation of Sulaiman b. Bilal.

Alhamdulillah we are back again after having been away for quite sometime. In Shaa Allah Dua Series will continue until the end of Dhul-Hijjah.Hope you are benefitting from this series.

“The best of supplications is the supplication on the day of ‘Arafah and the best which I and the Prophets before me have said is:
None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no parener. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things.
Laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa Huwa ‘alaa kulli shay’in Qadeer.
