Anger!Anger!Anger!Because of people being angry accidents have occured, people have died, family have broken up e.t.c.Anger has had drastic effect on human beings and the Prophet (SAW) has warned us several times against becoming angry in one hadith Narated By Abu Huraira :
A man said to the Prophet , “Advise me! “The Prophet said, “Do not become angry and furious.” The man asked (the same) again and again, and the Prophet said in each case, “Do not become angry and furious.”(Bukhari)
Thats the advice of our Prophet (SAW) Do not get angry
How to relax when angry.
I understand as human beings at certain times we might get angry but how do we calm down and avoid the drastic effect caused by anger. Here are 3 advices I took from the Sunnah:
1) Seek refuge with Allah from Shaytaan.
Narated By Sulaiman bin Surd :
While I was sitting in the company of the Prophet, two men abused each other and the face of one of them became red with anger, and his jugular veins swelled (i.e. he became furious). On that the Prophet said, “I know a word, the saying of which will cause him to relax, if he does say it. If he says: ‘I seek Refuge with Allah from Satan.’ then all is anger will go away.” Some body said to him, “The Prophet has said, ‘Seek refuge with Allah from Satan.”‘ The angry man said, “Am I mad?”(Bukhari)
2)Perform Ablution.
The Prophet (SAW) said :
Anger comes from the devil, the devil was created of fire, and fire is extinguished only with water; so when one of you becomes angry, he should perform ablution.(Abu Dawud Book 036,Hadith number 4766)
3)If you were standimg then sit down if it does not leave you then lie down.
The Prophet (SAW) said :
When one of you becomes angry while standing, he should sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good; otherwise he should lie down.(Abu Dawud). Thats the advice of the best mankind our beloved Prophet (SAW)(Abu Dawud)
In shaa Allah I hope this will help you reduce being angry
