Virtue of Being Close and Gentle to People.

Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِمَنْ يَحْرُمُ عَلَى النَّارِ أَوْ بِمَنْ تَحْرُمُ عَلَيْهِ النَّارُ، عَلَى كُلِّ قَرِيبٍ هَيِّنٍ سَهْلٍ

وروى الترمذي (2488)وصححه الألباني في “صحيح الترمذي”

Abdullah ibn Mas‘ood said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

Shall I not tell you of one who will be forbidden to the Fire, or for whom the Fire will become forbidden? Everyone who is close to people, gentle and easy-going.

Narrated by At-Tirmidhi (2488). Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh at-Tirmidhi.
